
SAVANNAH JADE DOBBS
Savannah Jade Dobbs is a New York-based artist, working with choreographers, filmmakers and artists to craft and perform locally and nationally. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from UNCSA where she has extensive training in Ballet, Contemporary, Classical Modern, Jazz, Floorwork and partnering. Through merit scholarships, she had the privilege to spend her Summers at the American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, UNCSA Summer Intensive, and Carolina Ballet's Dance Intensive. She has successfully completed the Mark Morris Dance Center's Teaching Artist Training Program, and has certificates in teaching Yoga and Pilates Mat. She has developed her own unique teaching style as a result of expanding her pedagogical education, sharing her enthusiasm for and interest in dance with others in an effort to inspire creativity and excellence in future generations of artists. As a multifaceted artist, Savannah values community and trade for skills between the widespread facets of artistic practices. Each craft, skill, and/or technique informs each other’s process as a tool for artists to excel and succeed further into their creative practices and productions. Sav’s core values in creativity, collaboration and curiosity are found through their curated Improv Jam events, choreographic process, pedagogy, reflective painting practice, and performances.
