CJ Donohoe has a deep interest in art accessibility, devised performance, and improvisation. CJ is pursuing a Master of Arts in Dance Education: Initial Certification for Teaching Dance Grades K-12. CJ’s work as an artist and educator centers community and process, and is particularly interested in working with folks who do not necessarily consider themselves a 'dancer', 'performer', or 'artist’, questioning how those definitions are understood. CJ has performed, presented choreographic work, and taught at organizations such as The Dance Complex, HERE Arts Center, Mobius Artists Group, La MaMa Experimental Theatre, Jacob’s Pillow, NACHMO Boston, The Foundry, The Tank NYC, and the National Theatre in Kampala, Uganda. CJ currently works as a Teaching Artist with Notes in Motion, Harkness Dance Center, and Pelham Art Center, and is passionate about bringing quality, rigorous, fun, and exploratory movement and dance experiences to as many people as possible.
